This Week On The Farm presenter Helen Skelton warned her co-star Jules Hudson that he would need to brush up on his midwifery skills in a cheeky admission. The Channel 5 star, who recently shared the news of her pregnancy, said that her co-star may need to be on hand for another new arrival tonight.

The 38-year-old addressed Jules live on-air after they aired a segment with Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen.

It comes after the popular shepherdess was taught how to make the crook which is used to herd sheep.

Amanda admitted she was pleased to have learned a “new skill” during the Channel 5 programme.

Following her segment, Jules told viewers: “Now, tomorrow night we want to see the new skills that you have learned.

“Please send us a photo of your new hobby and we will show you our favourites.”

Helen interjected: “You might need to practice your midwifery skills on Daisy if she carries on the way she’s going.”

The Channel 5 presenter was referring to Daisy the farm’s cow who is due to give birth any day now.

Jules appeared somewhat shocked before he chuckled at Helen’s remark.

Later on in the show, the pregnant star told viewers that the team would be looking out for Daisy.

She commented: “In the meantime, we will be keeping an eye on our friend Daisy.

“The birth is imminent. Hopefully by tomorrow, we will have a new member of the farming family to introduce you to.”

Meanwhile, Helen suffered an on-air blunder during last night’s episode.

Helen was at Cannon Hall Farm in South Yorkshire interviewing farmers Rob and Dave Nicholson about their new Swiss Valais Ram when the incident occurred on the Channel 5 show.

As the cameras moved to show the Ram awaiting transportation from Ireland to their new home in Yorkshire, Helen was heard yelling out in pain.

The cameras caught the star moving away from the donkey.

Jules commented: “Just to show that we are live and things bite we are on a farm.”

“I liked you Wonky Donkey!” Helen joked with the cheeky animal.

The donkey then moved in once again and tried to nibble on the broadcaster’s bottom.

“Why is this donkey biting my bum?” the presenter exclaimed, live on air.

This Week On The Farm airs weekdays on Channel 5 at 8pm.
