Spice Girls legend Geri Halliwell-Horner was awarded an honorary doctorate at Sheffield Hallam University today.
Situated at the city's Pond's Forge Sports Centre, the 50 year old's big moment came in front of the latest crop of graduates, who gathered to bear witness to chancellor Baroness Helena Kennedy handing over the ceremonial scroll.
Geri was recognised for her commitment to raising the aspirations of children and young people, advocating for women's rights and an outstanding contribution to the music industry during the past quarter of a century.
In full robes, Geri addressed the crowd with: "I think Sheffield Hallam University is an amazing place. It’s incredibly diverse and inclusive.
"When they offered me this honorary doctorate, I was truly honoured and grateful. I love learning, so it feels fantastic to be here."
Mum to lookalike teenage daughter Bluebell, her speech continued: "I sincerely believe education is a superpower – we are learning machines and I am still learning.
"I’ve learnt that students here at Sheffield Hallam graduate with more than a degree, but with a passion, a focus and a vision for life."
Further along, she informed attendees that despite choosing not to go to uni back in the day, she loved studying English Literature at A-level "before I embarked on a different kind of adventure. But I always valued my education and my love of reading, storytelling and words.
"I always had my education to lean on. Education is power."
Earlier this month, Geri threw one hell of a 50th birthday bash for herself down in the Oxfordshire countryside.
The guest list was quite something, as she reunited with her with Spice Girls bandmates Victoria Beckham, 48, Emma Bunton, 46, and Mel C, 48, but Mel B, 47, missed the bash.
Her family property, which she shares with husband Christian Horner, Bluebell and son Montague, was transformed into the ultimate party venue, complete with a live jazz band, firework display, and three-course meal.
Strictly: It Takes Two co-presenter Rylan Clark-Neal made an appearance aswell, as did This Morning's Holly Willoughby and husband Dan Baldwin, David Beckham, chart-topping artist Alexandra Burke and Gordon Ramsay's wife Tana.
On that fabled Spice Girls reunion; it seems as though Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage is where each member envisions it going down one day.
"I think it would be fab," commented 'Baby Spice' Emma on Keith Lemon's podcast Back Then When just last month. "And I have spoken to Victoria about it too. And I think she'd be up for Glasto."
It's doubtful to be next year, though, with Eminem, Arctic Monkeys, Harry Styles, Elton John and Taylor Swift all rumoured to be headline contenders.
