The former couple married in 2007 at Comlongon Castle in Dumfries, Scotland, and share children Madison and Dalton.

In June 2017, Darren and Stephanie renewed their vows in a lavish ceremony at the same venue.

Speaking in January 2016 about her now ex-husband going into the Celebrity Big Brother house Stephanie told OK! Magazine, Darren was nervous to take part in the reality TV show: "He was, and so was I. He didn't know what to expect. As soon as he got inside I saw him do a little sigh of relief like, that wasn't so bad."

The actress also spoke of his reasons behind entering the house, saying: "He wants the public to see who he really is – away from his past, his drug addiction. He's a very different person now. He's all about his family."
