Debbie Dingle actress Charley Webb, 33, has revealed she is completely exhausted after a busy period at home with husband Matthew Wolfenden, 41, and their three children; two-year-old Ace, five-year-old Bowie, and Buster, 11. The soap star’s admission comes after she decided to leave Emmerdale behind after 19 years, in which she starred alongside Matthew, who plays David Metcalfe.

The mum-of-three took to Instagram to share an insight into her life behind-the-scenes, as she asked her 548,000 followers if they were “feeling exhausted from the holidays”.

After posting a poll on the subject to her Instagram Stories, Charley admitted: “I am SO drained.

“Ace is sleeping, Buster is on his computer and Bowie has gone to the shops with M.

“I might actually have a nap which is absolutely unheard of.

“Tired from having the loveliest time with the family so I can’t complain,” the soap star added.

Charley last appeared on screen in Emmerdale at the beginning of 2021, and an inside source has claimed to The Sun that she has no plans to return.

It comes after the alleged race row her husband Matthew was involved in on-set with his co-star Isabel Hodgins. Matthew has vehemently denied the claims.

Matthew and Isobel, who play on-screen couple David and Victoria Sugden, have not been seen on the soap since October 28.

The duo paused filming scenes while bosses made enquiries into the incident.

The co-stars will likely not return to screens until 2022, but a spokesperson confirmed neither actor had been suspended.

They said: “While we would never comment on individual cases, Emmerdale has robust policies in place to deal with any allegations that are brought to our attention and take the appropriate steps.

“Neither actor has been suspended from Emmerdale.”

Both Matthew and Isobel have denied allegations of wrongdoing.

The source claimed of Charley’s future on Emmerdale: “Charley is closing the door on Emmerdale for good and won’t be going back.

“After she gave birth to her third child with Matthew in 2019 she returned briefly before taking some time out again.

“The past few months have given her time to think about the future and it is one that doesn’t involve Emmerdale.”

An Emmerdale spokeswoman told the publication: “There are no current plans for Debbie Dingle to return.”

During her last appearance on Emmerdale earlier this year, Charley’s character Debbie became involved in a cheating scandal.

Al Chapman (played by Michael Wildman) had been having dalliances behind fiancée Priya’s (Fiona Wade) back with a mystery woman, who was revealed to be Debbie.

Al first met Debbie in Scotland after she temporarily left the Dales to set up her own garage.

Al was seen trying his best to keep Debbie and Priya apart during an explosive episode, which aired back in January, to cover up his lies.
